Whitney Chitwood
Whitney Chitwood is a stand-up comedian who will stand-up to moderately dangerous things. (Not a bear, though. Whit'll run away from those. But who wouldn't? Poor bears.)
Whit’s debut album, “The Bakery Case” will be released by StandUp! Records October 18th! She’s a regular at The Chicago Laugh Factory and was recently called “inspiring” by the incomparable Maria Bamford. Whit’s been the requested opener for the likes of Rhea Butcher, Adam Conover, Greg Behrendt (“I want to say, see Whitney Chitwood while you can see her on the cheap, because she’s headed somewhere.”), and the great Eddie Pepitone (“Whitney Chitwood is one of my favorite comics everyone should know.”) Additionally, Whit has been featured by MoveOn.Org, is a frequent contributor to The Paper Machete at Chicago's Green Mill, OUT Chicago on WCPT, and the co-headliner of Is This Us? Are We Here? Comedy Tour?. Whit has headlined festivals like Altercation Comedy Festival (TX) Yuck Fest (IN), The Southwest Chief Comedy Festival (CO), and been featured at Riot LA, 208 Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, The Hollywood Improv, and has appeared on "Put Your Hands Together."
With an audacious, highly personal style, Whit has left audiences... Full disclosure: Whit struggles to write in the third person. It just feels vapid and hollow, but mostly it sounds silly to me... I mean “to Whit”... WHIT means “to Whit.”
See what I mean? I mean, “what Whit means.” WHIT means, “what Whit means.” Damn...
Whitney just hopes audiences leave saying, “I never thought of that,” or “That was witty,” or “Look out! There’s a bear!” (We’ve got to keep on top of this, folks.)
