JT Habersaat
A native New Yorker currently calling Austin, Texas home, JT Habersaat has headlined and curated the Altercation Punk Comedy Tour since its inception in 2008, averaging over 130+ road dates per year.
Habersaat is a consistent performer alongside many of Doug Stanhope's Unbookables crew, including Kristine Levine, Andy Andrist, Henry Phillips and Mishka Shubaly, and has appeared a number of times on the Doug Stanhope Podcast. In addition, JT remains a requested support act for many punk bands, recently performing with such notables as Teenage Bottlerocket, Sloppy Seconds, The Murder Junkies, The Adolescents, Riverboat Gamblers, Dead To Me, Off With Their Heads and D.C. hardcore legend Henry Rollins.
JT has performed at Fun Fun Fun Fest Texas, Hell Yes! Comedy Fest New Orleans, Akumal Comedy Festival Mexico, Punk Rock Bowling Las Vegas and The Fest Gainesville, as well as the nation-spanning Vans Warped Tour. He has appeared on Comedy Central's Upright Citizen's Brigade as well as acted opposite Ron Jeremy in Troma Films' Toxic Avenger 4: Citizen Toxie. His first book The Altercation Archives was released in 2012 and is currently in its second printing.
JT's debut album Hostile Corporate Takeover was released in 2013 on Stand Up! Records to much critical acclaim, boasting cover art courtesy of legendary Black Flag / Sonic Youth artist Raymond Pettibon. His newest album Misanthrope was released in 2016 and quickly hit #2 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. He currently hosts The Road Podcast weekly and tours constantly.
