Dick Davy
Comedian Dick Davy was a comedian, active in the mid to late 1960s, who enigmatically disappeared from public record in the wake of the death of Martin Luther King, Junior. His story has slowly been revealed through the release of his third, posthumous album, Presenting… Dick Davy, released in 2025 by us here at Stand Up! Records. He had television appearances on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, From the Bitter End, The Gary Moore Show and The Merv Griffin Show, and recorded his first album, You're a Long Way From Home, Whitey! live at Harlem's famous Apollo Theater in 1966.
